Paleo
In its simplest form, a Paleo diet is one based on what our cavemen ancestors might have eaten between 2.5 million and 15,000 years ago in the Palaeolithic Era and before the onset of agriculture.
A Paleo diet includes grass-fed beef, pasture-raised chicken and pigs, seafood, vegetables, fruit, eggs, nuts, seeds, and healthy oils like olive and coconut. What it doesn’t include is cereal grains, legumes, dairy, refined sugar, potatoes, processed foods, salt and refined vegetable oils and what it shouldn’t include is chemicals, artificial colors, preservatives, additives, GMOs and nanotechnology. Personally, I can’t recall seeing pictures of cavemen with bottles of Round Up spraying their crops or cavemen dressed up as scientists splitting DNA to make GMOs so if you’re really want to eat like our cavemen ancestors did, make your Paleo lifestyle an organic one too!
To learn more about the ever popular Paleo diet, read on.
